Books Bins For Our Gold
Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you very much for donating to this wonderful cause. My students are so grateful to have these book bins and book carts in our second grade mobile classroom. A mobile classroom has very little room so we do not have room for many bulky bookshelves. I chose these because the carts are the perfect size for a smaller classroom. Also, my students are able to keep them tidy and organized so this makes it easier for students to choose books, as well as returning books when finished. I am in the process of finding more books to fill them and the kiddos are very excited about it. Again, thank you so much for doing this for my students!”

Funded Aug 14, 2019We are so excited and grateful to have 8 wobble stools in our second grade classroom. Our classroom has 4 tables, 2 wobble stools at each table. My students learn responsibility and a sense of ownership as the different teams worked together to create a plan in which all students at each table are able to use the stools. Some teams rotate weekly and others rotate daily. I enjoyed seeing the students brainstorm ideas, interact with one another, ask each other questions, and decide on the best plan for their team.
My 22 students were BEYOND thrilled to see that we were getting wobble stools for their tables. They were even more excited when I told them there would be 2 stools per table.
My next steps are creating a home-environment so I plan on adding some lamps and cozy rugs around the room to make the classroom even more inviting.
Thank you for your generous donation!”

MOVEment-Based Learning= Success!
Funded Nov 26, 2018Our six kindergarten classes are using the jumbo trikes during our recess. All of the kiddos enjoy the trikes so much. As a teacher, we love them because the children are able to practice gross and fine motor skills while having fun on the trikes. There is a yellow painted line on the blacktop near the kindergarten playground and the students ride on the yellow line. Students wait in line to ride one of the 4 trikes and they love them!
In the picture I sent, the students all sat in a circle on the carpet waiting for the unveiling of our new gifts. The students were ecstatic to find out they were donated 4 jumbo trikes for recess time.
My next steps are to find some other fine and gross motor activities for the students to use inside and outside of the classroom.”
