  • Whiteboards for Kinder

    It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give, toward "Whiteboards for Kinder!" With the whiteboards, the students have gained the opportunity to practice their problem solving skills, as well as practicing their letter writing and generating imagination. Our students love to express their thoughts through writing and drawing. They really enjoyed using the materials.

    My students use the home-to-school folders everyday. It allow the students and their families to get in the habit of talking about school every evening. It is also a great way to help keep families informed and involved in the day to day happenings of the classroom.

This tablet will allow my students to access literacy apps, such as "Starfall" and "youHanZi." In the listening center, my students will be able to listen to Chinese stories and learn how to write simple Chinese characters. They will be able to learn the origin of the mid-autumn festival, Chinese New Year etc. and develop cultural awareness. With the implement of the listening center, they will be able to improve their Mandarin language proficiency from novice low to novice mid and even novice high. The tablet will also provide my students with an opportunity to develop language skills in a fun and engaging way. The flexible seats will create a cozy and comfortable environment for my students. In the reading center, the flexible seating also helps make learning fun. It allows my students to easily pair up and conduct the shared reading with their peers.
