Flexible seating will allow my active students to have fun while engaging in reading. The flexible seating is appealing to those students who cant "stand" or "sit" still in a chair. Our classroom chairs are not made for comfort, but flexible seating is! Students typically wiggle around and get distracted if they are sitting in an uncomfortable chair for extended periods of time. The bean bags, cushions and wobble seats will provide a more comfortable reading area in our classroom and enhance reading comprehension. I believe that a relaxed student will focus more on the material being read than the uncomfortable seat he or she is sitting on.
