My students' learning will be impacted greatly. With the use of 8 Chromebooks, I can ensure each student will be given 1-1 access to digital learning. As of right now, the students do not have 1-1 access to digital learning. The students are blessed with the use of about a dozen Chromebooks per classroom, but this is not enough to ensure 1-1 access. Having 1-1 digital access means a lot to my students and to me. With the use of 8 Chromebooks, I can personalize and differentiate the students' learning on a daily basis. For example, each student will use Google Classroom to read about and submit assignments. I can give timely and meaningful feedback with this tool.I can also create and assign Google Forms to students as a quick check of content learned, and it will quickly alert me to potential gaps in instruction. In addition, the use of Google Docs on a daily basis will ensure my students are making strides to be more confident digital communicators. I am a big proponent of using Chromebooks in the classroom. I have purchased and read several books on the subject, and I have completed a professional development course from John Sowash, an expert in the field of using Chromebooks in the classroom. In addition, I have taken online courses (Using Google Classroom) from Alice Keeler to keep up to date. My ultimate goal is to be a Google for Education certified teacher so that I can impact the lives of my current and future students.
