Our school recently became a STEAM Magnet Elementary Program based in Creative Sciences and Arts in the 2018-2019 school year! I am so excited to bring these experiences into my Pre-K classroom! I would love to set up a new center based on technology where the students could use online resources for learning and for research! Early Childhood needs STEAM too! As many of these students will just be beginning their educational journey, they need to experience the newest technology and materials in a hands-on way! Being able to work with a small group of students or allow students independent practice time with the tablets will expand my students' ability to progress. The children will also be able to utilize the camera feature to take pictures of their work, or things around the school that we can observe and study. These tablets will also be used to enable the student to access school academic programs independently. These skills will be essential to their success in our increasingly technological world!
