The items on my list will infuse sparkle and joy into the curriculum to keep my young learners engaged in their education. The chairs and magnetic shelves will transform a small area of my room from a bland spot into a cozy reading nook. The dry erasers and letter magnets are just the tools to make our literacy centers a favorite spot to return to again and again. And the people colored art materials will help the children make projects for social science that represent who they are and where their families have come from. By having projects at school that reflect all cultures, they can see education is about and for people just like themselves.
