This year, our school was lucky enough to be selected as a participating school in the Disney Musicals in Schools Program! We have chosen to do Winnie The Pooh as our musical, and we couldn't be more excited. Being a Title I school, most of our students come from low-income households. We do everything we can to make our school not only a place for them to learn, but also to have fun, feel safe, and make lifelong memories. As a school, we highly value arts in education. It is so important for students to learn how to express themselves in art form, to study art in our world, and to learn about the endless artistic opportunities for them. The students are going to have the best time collaborating with each other to put on the best performance they can. In order to put on the show, we need the minimum technology for a musical with 10 speaking roles. This includes a 10 channel mixer, a large speaker, microphones, and stage lighting. We will also need art supplies for creating our Winnie the Pooh Hundred Acre Woods set. This includes ply wood, felt, cloth, construction paper, and a glue gun. We are so grateful for any donations we receive to help make our musical a big success.
