Sensory Seeker: Exploring the World Through a Different Lens!

As an early childhood educator for the past 5 years, I have noticed that incoming students are having greater sensory needs. This project will provide these students with the tools they need to enhance numerous skills that they will build upon throughout their educational journey. Your contributions will directly benefit children in low income communities in northern Kentucky.”

These learning materials will give students a chance to explore dramatic play and interact with classmates in a way that relates to their everyday lives. The kitchen items will be utilized within our dramatic play area and model healthy nutrition and food preparations. The sand toys will encourage flexible thinking and sensory exploration. The dress-up set will give students the opportunity to use their imagination. Head Start students are among the most at-risk youth; funding this project enables these children to learn, explore and grow! My students are always excited to explore new topics, toys, and concepts.
