During chemistry, students could use any sort of container to hold samples of substances. Cups will work; even plastic trays. However, having pyrex glassware will solve many issues as they are durable and reusable. Additionally, this makes any experiments that require the heating of substances less of a headache. Without enough pyrex glassware, it is difficult to perform experiments that require heating substances. Many students love the excitement that comes with heating substances, but without pyrex beakers it becomes a safety issue. My students would benefit from this project because they will be able to perform more hands-on experiments that reinforce concepts reviewed during lessons.
