Many students feel that reading is a boring chore that is done in class. Reading should be enjoyable and learners will feel motivated to read more if they feel they read well. If the reading texts are carefully selected and therefore contribute to motivation, the process of language learning will be greatly helped. Scientists have shown that being bilingual makes you smarter. It can improve the effect on your brain, cognitive skills and may even help prevent dementia in old age. The purpose of this project of this project is to increase our students' ability to speak and read in Spanish through the use of bilingual books. This will help the students understand different cultures and learn about the multilingual world around them. The use of these particular books will immerse the students into a world of adapting and surviving different conflicts. Another benefit to the process of studying and reading in studying a language different from that of your native tongue is that it helps increase the scores of standardized tests. In addition, the development of becoming bilingual not only improves test scores, it also improves students' abilities in other core classes. In this global age, being fluent in more than one language opens the doors to opportunities in many careers.
