Digging Up Fun
Funded Dec 3, 2024Thank you so much for donating to my school project, "Digging up Fun". Our school has a very nice stand up sand table, but it has been a long time since we have had supplies for it. The students will greatly enjoy engaging in fun learning with the new sand and supplies.
Together the students will learn social skills, problem solving, sharing, and communication.
I am so excited to be able to introduce the sand table to the students with the new supplies.”

Funded Jun 26, 2020Thank you so much for donating to the project "2-D to 3-D" learning. Magna Tiles will assist my students in moving from 2-D shapes to 3-D shapes. Early childhood students learn best through hands-on experiences. It will engage their brains and create expanded neuron paths. Students will grow and learn as they grown older.
By funding my project, you have helped my students to have unique hands on manipulatives to work with during this unique time. Young children cannot sit still for long periods of time, but while they are required to do so, Magna Tiles will help them to be engaged and to develop the small motor skills that they will need for writing later on.
Once again, thank you for your kind contribution.”

Culture in Mrs. Keaton's Class
Funded Nov 1, 2019The students in my classroom greatly enjoy the cultural outfits that were donated to us. They enjoy dramatic play so much, and were really excited to receive new outfits. We began learning about different cultures almost immediately upon receiving them.
We began our experience by learning about each outfit, whether it was an Indian Kurta and Scarf or a Mexican Falda and Blusa. We actually have several students in the class whose family origins are in Mexico. It was fun to learn about traditional clothing from Mexico, even for the Latino students, whose culture may or may not be celebrated in their families.
Just recently the students learned about Japan. We watched videos describing the traditional Matsuri Festival. We attempted to write Japanese characters on the dry erase board. The students took turns wearing the Japanese happi coat white eating Tempura and Asian donuts. Some students even attempted to eat with chopsticks. It was a great learning experience fore everyone, even the teachers.
Thank you so much in helping to provide this learning experience for my students.”
