I would sincerely LOVE to transform my very tiny classroom into an environment that will help my students unleash their potential within. I strongly believe that a relaxing, therapeutic setting will help motivate them to communicate their opinions, have a voice, and inspire their creativity. Whether it be sitting by the fountain and being inspired by the sound of falling water, relaxing under a palm tree, or sitting independently listening to the melodies of classical music, I am confident that my students will be inspired in this environment! "Kids learn more effectively in an environment that provides emotional support and avoids emotional upset," as noted by Prakash Nair, an educational aesthetics expert, noted school designer, and author of "The Language of School Design: Design Patterns for the 21st Century Schools." I am fortunate to be working in a wonderful school which is working on developing "Brain Power Classrooms." This program, by Dave Beal, is a program that centers around the 10 essentials for "Focus, Mindfulness and Emotional Wellness." This project, in combination with this program, will further enhance the emotional wellbeing of my students!
