Most of my kindergarten students are just beginning to learn the letters and some are able to read words or sentences. Only a small amount actually are able to read books on their own. It is so important for students to read and to be given the chance to read. The mp3 players and headphones will allow for ALL of my students the chance to read. All levels will be able to benefit from these resources which will increase their access to books. Some of my students have parents that do not have time to read with them and more and more students come to school reading less and less books at home. This way my students will have the chance to get a hold of a variety of different books and more opportunities to read and feel accomplished that they read so many.
