Flexible seating is when the teacher promotes movement in the classroom with alternative seating options. By using flexible seating, my students will take ownership in how they will be seated while learning. It will give them pride to be able to choose where they will sit. Traditional classrooms are a thing of the past. It will also help them feel more comfortable by not having to sit still in their class chair all day. Some types of flexible seating are yoga balls, wobble chairs, stools, or rolling chairs. These materials will make a world of a difference in my students' learning.
