Pentomino Problem Solving Puzzles
Funded Dec 13, 2024Thank you for the puzzle tools. The students were excited to see new materials in the classroom. Students have been using the pentomino pieces to solve riddles and puzzles. The focus on the puzzles and riddles is on perseverance. Students would almost have the puzzle complete to find out the last piece they have will not fit. Students continued to work in their partnerships or groups to take a step back and come up with a new strategy.
The students absolutely love the penguin problem solving puzzles. Students will move through the different difficulty levels to challenge themselves. These materials have been a great addition to my classroom and school. Thank you for your generosity.”

Funded Feb 9, 2024My students were beyond ecstatic to see new games in our math groups. The students have been working hard on learning strategies to solve multiplication and addition. They enjoyed being able to practice those strategies when playing the Jenga games as well as using the Power Pen. In all of my groups students were motivated to work through our lessons because they were looking forward to using those skills to play the game. My math group working on place value also enjoyed the grab and go place value game.
The dry erase markers, erasers, and plastic sleeves are a vital part to our everyday routine and students instantly noticed that there were new supplies available to them. It is amazing how something as simple as a new dry erase marker can motivate them. Lastly, students absolutely loved the new sticker charts and smelly stickers. At the end of every lessons students are able to earn stickers. Students of all age were asking to earn a smelly sticker.
Tank you again for your donation!”

Funded Sep 21, 2022Thank you for your generosity. Your donations have allowed the school to be replenished with the basic supplies that students and teachers use on a regular basis. These supplies have been distributed to classrooms so that teachers and students can use them. Teachers make multiple anchor charts throughout their Reading and Math modules for students to reference back to. The markers from this project have been used to make the posters colorful and engaging for students.
The dry erase erasers are a big hit with students. In many classrooms the dry erase erasers had gone missing or were no longer in working condition. Once the new erasers were brought into the classroom the students were ecstatic to being use them. Dry erase boards are used on a daily basis for both Math and Fundations. These erasers are being used multiple times a day by students.”

Hallway Sensory Paths
Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you for your kindness. The sensory paths were installed for the start of the school year in our primary hallway. These sensory paths give students the movement break they need from the classroom. Students are able to use the path as their entire class walks down the hallway, as well as if they need a brain break. Many students also walk on the paths on their way to their classroom for the start of the school day.
When students first saw the paths they were ecstatic. All of our students look forward to being able to use them on a daily basis. The paths incorporate movement but also academics like numbers and letters for students to practice as they move.”

Funded Mar 2, 2022Thank you for your kind donation to help supply our Kindergarten Math lessons. The students were beyond ecstatic when the pop it games arrived. As soon as the pop it games were delivered to the room the students wanted to know what they were and when they could use them. These tools are used to help develop one to one correspondence as student pop a specific amount of circles. It also helps develop addition skills are students work to pop their side of the game first. When students were playing the pop it game they were engaged the entire time and did not want to stop playing.
The students are also very excited to have all new playdough in their classroom. They are happy that there is now enough playdough for each child to have their own. This allows students to learn about mathematics using games and activities using the playdough. Thank you again for your donation!”

Marvelous Manipulative Math Kits
Funded Aug 11, 2020Thank you for your donation for the math tool kits. As we progress through the school year these tool kits are updated with materials for the unit students are in. Many of the tools serve a purpose for multiple units, which allows us to get maximum use out of them. So far in the school year we have experienced both in person and remote learning. Students have been using these tools both at home and in school.
My students rely on these tools during math group to assist them in solving the math problem presented. Our youngest of learners best experience math through hands on experiences. Your donation allowed us to give the hands-one experience even with the restrictions of Covid. Older students have benefited greatly from the dry erase boards to help them solve problems and display their work to a teacher. The boards have a grid which also allows us to decrease our carbon footprint as students do not need grid paper, they can use the boards.”

Funded Sep 17, 2020Thank you for your donations and support. The math tool kits have been used as school moves from in person to remote instruction. Students are able to use their own personal math tools while in school. The math tools go beyond the math subject as students are also using them during recess .
Not only are these tools being used in the classroom, but students are able to bring them home which is essential during distance learning. Students have the bag of materials in their backpack so that they can access them anytime at home or in school. During my remote small group time it has been essential that students are able to take out these manipulatives and use them to solve problems. It gives my students the hands-on math experience no matter if they are at home or in school.”

Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you again for your donations. These headphones have been helpful in allowing students to work on the computer as well as prepare presentations. During the school week students use a variety of technology programs that provide oral directions or ask them questions. Without these headphones, the classroom can become noisy as the computers read aloud.
The most exciting thing about these headphones is the built in microphone. Students are beginning to prepare presentations about their learning. With these headphone students are able to record themselves and input it into the presentation. Students are also able to complete a task and record their thinking, which the teacher can listen to later. Thank you for updating our school's headphones! The students and I greatly appreciate it.”
