The donation that I get will help the children learn and explore outside in observation's and cause in effect when it comes to discovery in waterplay. Water play allows for children to explore and develop, make peer modeling and peer relationships as they make experiences together outside of the classroom. So many times the children don't get to experience activities outside in an urban city environment. So this will give my students another option besides balls, apparatus, painting, sandbox and tricycles. Our last water table lasted about 5-6 years. However with the summer heat and sun, it took its toll on our last water table and we don't have the funds to replace it.
