We are currently in the process of developing a STEAM Program for the students at our school. STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to help students become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and collaborators. As the Gifted and Talent Development teacher, I cannot begin to tell you how much this project will impact the education of our students. This project will open up the worlds of scientists, engineers, and inventors to our students and expose them to a world outside our tiny town of Morven, GA. Our teachers have begun to collect supplies for our little makers and inventors, but we are lacking shelving for the STEAM Lab and containers to store the materials. These shelves and storage bins will help to keep these supplies easily accessible to our learners so they can maximize their time in the STEAM Lab. Your help and contribution is just the tip of the iceberg in a large project that will help the majority of the students who enter the doors of our school. Our goal is to nurture innovative thinkers who are prepared for their future. I am uploading a picture of the newly decorated STEAM Lab. Thank you for your time and consideration of our project.
