My classroom has a beautiful bay window with lots of natural light pouring in. I will furnish this bright space with a cozy couch so that multiple kids can read comfortably together, individual floor seats that they can sink into, and soft bean bag chairs that accommodate every body type. These students will now be able to lean back, stretch out and focus on what they're reading I don't want something so mundane as uncomfortable seating to keep them from building literacy. I want them drawn to the reading area, and I want them to stay engaged while they're there. This project will do both.
