  • Vibrant Colors to Motivate Writing!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you so very much for your donations. My students are enjoying their writing supplies. Writing is their favorite part of the day. Their eyes glimmer with joy when they begin to write their stories and the vibrant colors of the pens shine through.

Students have gone from writing one sentence to writing 3-5 sentences. They have started to add details and draw pictures. Sometimes it's the little things that change the enthusiasm of students! For my class it was as simple as colored pens and black writing paper!

Once again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodriguez

  • Let's Draw, Relax and Have Fun!

    Funded Apr 7, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations. The students received their art supplies and we are able to do directed drawing lessons through zoom class . We have been drawing 3 to 4 times a week for a 15 to 30 minute period. These drawings have helped students become more relaxed and more focused.

My students were so excited to see their drawing pad with their special drawing markers and their colored pencils to add details to their artwork.

We will continue to use our supplies for social emotional relief activities and to maintain focus in an otherwise stressful zoom class setting.

We are eternally grateful for your donations which have made a difference in this Dual Language Kindergarten class.”

  • Supplies for Virtual Classes!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations. No doubt everyone knows we are living through a very difficult time. School as we know it is so different. I'm happy to say that most children are resilient and will handle many tough situations. Having received the items thanks to your donations has made a difference for my Kindergarten class.

My students received basic supplies that their parents did not have to worry about right now. They are able to go through their lessons using pencils, crayons and pens for writing!

The most treasured donation by them is their dry erase boards and markers. Those are used everyday in all subject areas. Some days they are used for writing, math, science, social studies and even art!

Thank you for putting a smile on their faces and making their learning accessible and fun for them!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodriguez

  • Tablets for Me to Play, Read and Learn!!

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

Thanks to your wonderful donation student test scores have risen in the past two months. Students now have access to programs and apps developed for the classroom. The programs and apps are being utilized during small group instruction to further assist students with phonics and phonemic awareness activities.

Students get excited about having their own personal time to play games that help them learn. Because most of our students are low income, they don't have full access to technology at home so, your donation gave them access during their school day.

I have several students with disabilities that require brain breaks from regular classroom instruction. These tablets have given them the opportunity to step away from the larger group and separate themselves to quiet independent learning when necessary. These special students look forward to independently learning in a quieter learning environment.

Thank you very much on behalf of my students for the impact you have made on their everyday learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodriguez

Technology is very useful in our lives nowadays especially for kids. I have a Dual Language Kindergarten class and my students have to learn to read and write everyday in both English and Spanish. With the tablets, the students will access digital library books to read in both languages. They will also access abcmouse which is a reading program in both languages. The students will also access Youtube to listen to songs, stories, and videos in both languages. The tablets will be used on a daily basis in a small group setting. The groups will rotate so all students will use them daily. The protectors will be an essential part to keep them from breaking and being damaged.
