We are reinstating classroom time to explore the love of reading. I have let this go too long, and I feel like reading is a vital part of helping students expand their vocabulary, understand how language works, and most importantly--develop empathy. We need empathy now more than ever and students need an opportunity to flex their empathy muscles. I am so excited to continue to bring in more books from a variety of authors and styles. I believe if students have access to books that are engaging and high interest they will seek out books in their futures as well.

About my class
