My students spend at least 30 minutes a day reading independently in the classroom and are allowed to take books out of the classroom library to take home. Our current library is outdated and the books are falling apart. I am also in desperate need of books from guided reading levels G-I. They need new books to keep them engaged in order to build their reading skills. Creating a new library for them will keep them engaged and excited to read. Many of them are below level readers and need as much encouragement as they can to continue building their reading skills. New books and seats will excite my students as well as give them the library they truly deserve.
