As a teacher in a low income, low performing high school there is a lot of room for improvement for most of my students. I have some great students. They want to learn. Unfortunately many of my students struggle in math. Math is subject that prevents many students from fulfilling their graduation requirements. About 80% of my students are Latinos who are looking to graduate from high school. If I can motivate them to go farther with their education I can imagine a better life for them. I am asking for a printer with scanning capabilities to help facilitate with everyday tasks that a teacher has to do. Having a printer is essential and having a scanner is optimal. A copier will help with in a wide range of classroom scenarios. It can be leveraged to create interactive visual aids for use in the classroom, or creating a skills based worksheet to drive home a concept. A scanner will allow me to scan student work to share with parents and allow me to copy notes/activities that absent students have missed. This tool will give me the ability to influence my students in a positive way.
