As the 10th Grade English Language Arts Teacher and 10th grade Advisory Teacher, I am frequently faced with having to tell students that we don't have enough computers for them to use for writing, research, and college applications.
Cellphones are definitely a wonderful and efficient tool for quick look-ups, but no rising scholar should have to complete a 5 to 7 page paper on a tiny hand held screen!
The temptation to use social media and play games is ever present, and my goal is to acquire at least 15 new Chromebooks over time for our students to use when theirs breaks or they forget them at home.
More technology combined with our wonderful selection of books will help us give our students a more holistic experience as they utilize this vital space.
