Physical activity has many benefits. A sturdy, indoor/outdoor table for ping pong is a great resource! Before, during, and after school opportunities will be available for students to take brain breaks and enhance their physical/mental coordination. Table tennis is versatile enough to be low-impact and casual, or high-impact and competitive. Table tennis can also be analyzed in a science setting using terms such as velocity, trajectory, and rotation. Social interaction with peers can be enhanced, in addition to offering a chance to challenge a faculty/staff member or two. Students already engage in basketball, volleyball, soccer, football, and sometimes tetherball. Table tennis would be a welcome choice.
