Differentiated Small Group Instruction

Help me give my students supports needed to facilitate small group instruction. The toner will allow me to print scaffolded materials for my small groups and the stools will allow me to create small group seating.

  • Copies as Resources

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project and helping me provide the resources my students need. We are all very appreciative of your donation. Having a classroom printer will make providing my students with scaffolds in real time possible and will allow me to provide my students with the best possible math education..”

  • Real Life Math Connections

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for purchasing copies of Scholastic Math for my students. Not only has your donation contributed to increasing a literacy and math connnection in my classroom, but I have been able to share copies with English language learners in my school as well. All of the students who have been exposed to the Scholastic Math atricles have enjoyed the content and have been able to make connections to math in the real world.

As a math teacher, often there are topics that we just do not have time to study as in depthly as we would like. One such topic has been statistics. The monthy Scholastic articles feature reading and analyzing graphs. I am able to go beyond the curriculum using these articles in a way that students see the relevance and importance but are also enjoying the content in which it is being presented.

I am also able to use the Scholastic Math articles to differentiate within my class. I assign differeent articles to different groups of students based upon their abilities, areas of need or preferences. After the students complete the articles that are required, they can't wait to read the rest of the magazine. These magazines have helped build enthusiasm and interest in math in my classes. My students look forward to the arrival of the magazine each month.

Thank you once again for your donation. It is very much appreciated!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Williams

Three years ago, our school began implementing a STEM talent class. The students in the 7th grade have the opportunity to attend STEM robotics twice a week where they learn the basics of coding and programming. The students work in groups and share a LEGO EV3 Mindstorms kit. Since the inception of this program, we have been using the same robotics kits. Due to normal wear and tear and usage by hundreds of students, some of the pieces have been damaged or lost and need to be replaced. I would like to purchase the new kits to replace some of the kits that have been worn out from usage.
