An environment conducive to learning should be student centered and allow for both collaboration and communication. The learning environment should be much like the content that is delivered; differentiated to best meet the needs of students. By donating to this project, you will be allowing students to have the ability to choose which seating is most appropriate for them allowing student to take ownership for their learning. Addressing the kinesthetic needs of the students is important to the classroom, as not all students focus and complete their best work while sitting still at the table and comfort flex seats. For those that opt for more traditional seats and desktop, they will be able to utilize a the flex table and flex comfort seats to be more productive in their work. To optimize student choice, this project will make one flexible seating option available per student. Allowing comfort in the learning environment will assist in countering some of the same issues that adults face: sitting (or standing) for long periods without the ability to move. When students are in control of their learning environment, they can turn their focus to the content of their work and not how uncomfortable they may be.
