Although the school year has just begin, I have noticed a great need in supplies throughout the classroom. I plan to get the students more engaged by allowing them mobility and flexibility throughout the classroom.Along with many manipulative's available to each student. The supplies will help the child become more engaged and independent on their learning .
I believe children are able to absorb more when they are able to use movement and engaging in the manipulation of materials. Movement is not only good for the body but also great with the mind.
Along with the supplies I will be able to make different stations where the child is able to learn through manipulation of all materials math and science.
Children are busy learners which is why I would like to get rid of the basic chair and something more suitable for students mobility. I wanted to use the plastic stools and the bounce ball chairs for the kids to stay mobile.
The paper, card stock, expo markers, dry erase pockets, permanent markers, highlighters are so that each child is able to have supplies at their use making the child more independent on their assignments.
Caddies, pocket chart, pencil sharpener, lamination machine with pockets are going to help the classroom with more structure and cleanliness. The wireless keyboard will help the kids to be hands on with technology.
The math and science manipulative's are going to engage the children with kinesthetic learning.
