  • Help Elementary School Students Improve their Computer Coding Skills

    Funded Dec 18, 2019

Thank you for your support and donations. My students in grades Pre-k through 5 love the coding activities. They can see and touch coding with real objects. They follow the book's instructions to design different coding models. They apply an algorithm to sort sands in different sizes of cups. They use verbal commends to create a path from a starting point to an ending point on papers. Young students sometimes have trouble to understand computer coding because coding is abstract and complicated. The coding kits help students learn computer coding easily and effectively. Again, Thank you for your support and donations.”

Thank you for your donations. The six extra USB cables make my school iPads more useful. The six USB cables are perfect for Apple iPads. Now my school has more iPads from different donors. I can easily charge many iPads overnight. Then my students can use iPads the next day. My pre-k students love iPads so much. They watch videos and play games on pbskids.com My kindergarten and 1st-grade students use iPads to read online books on Myon and complete iReady math and reading lessons. • Elementary School Students Need Headphones for Online Learning

    Funded Oct 29, 2019

Thank you for your donation. My school needs headphones so much. My students use headphones every school day in different classes. Old headphones were broken after students used them for six months. After I received the 30 headphones, I distributed 6 headphones to the library, 10 headphones to the 4th-grade class, and 10 headphones to the 3th-grade class. The teachers and students are happy when they received the headphones. My school's technology is very limited, and we always are lack of basic technology supplies. Again, thank you for your support. My students use headphones to complete different online learning, such as Myon, iReady, and Getepic.”

  • Elementary School Students Need 7 Sphero Mini for Learning Programming

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

The seven Sphero mini balls are amazing. My students love them so much. In my technology classes, my students used the Sphero app on iPads to program the balls' movements. My students designed different tasks. A group of students programmed the balls to move across different tiny traffic cones. A group of students programmed the balls as bowling balls to hit bowling pins. A second-grade girl said, "it is magic!" when she used an iPad to control a Sphero mini ball. Thank you for your donation and support. The seven Sphero mini balls are the best Christmas gift for my students.”

    Funded Aug 15, 2019

Thank for your support. My school adds two new Chromebooks. They are perfect for elementary school students. Students don't need to learn too much about the features of an operating system. They just need to know how to open Google Chrome, type website address, and click on the website. In this month, students have used Chromebooks to visit different websites, including Myon, iReady, Renaissance AR, Scratch, Legends of Learning, and BrainPop. My students love read online books on Myon.com, and complete math and English lessons on iReady.com. Again, thank you for your support.”

  • Elementary School Students Need 20 Optical Mice to Navigate Chromebooks

    Funded Jun 20, 2019

Thank you for your support. Now my classes have the 20 optical mice. In the past, some students had difficulties to use the touch-pads when they use laptops. They felt frustrated when the touch-pads acted crazily. Now, my students hold the mice to smoothly navigate different websites. Each mouse has a left click, a right click, and a wheel. The three important functions of a mouse helps my students easily and quickly use laptops to complete different online assignments. Also, they can use the mice when they use desktop computers. My students are African American children and Hispanic children. They came from low-income families. This project will be awesome for my students. Each month, a group of 3 elementary school students will use the Mindstorm education EV3 core set to build different robot models and develop their programming skills. Eventually, 30 students will use the Mindstore robot set in the whole school year. (3 students x 10 months = 30 students.) My students are excited to learn robots and programming. They need hand-on learning experiences to develop their logic thinking skills and problem-solving skills. Please help my students. Thank you.
