  • Elementary School Students Need 27 Math Kits for Distance Learning

    Funded Dec 29, 2020

I distributed the 27 math learning kits to students as remote learning reinforcement. Parents appreciated the kits. Students loved the kits. They used the kits to apply different mathematical strategies as they were working on iReady math assignments. Also, the parents helped their children with the kits at home. The students enjoyed the math learning experience as they could move math resources around and write math solutions on whiteboards. Thank you for supporting my students to keep learning during this challenging time.”

  • Elementary School Students Need 10 STEM Kits for Distance Learning

    Funded Dec 29, 2020

Thank you for your donation. My Pre-k students were very excited when they received the STEM kits. Each kit came with 253 building LEGO pieces. Each kit came with ten different STEM challenging cards, such as "How do we connect a trailer to a truck?" Students built trailer and truck LEGO models. Then they created different solutions to complete the challenge. At the end of each lesson, they presented their solutions in class. It was an excellent STEM learning experience. Thank you for supporting my students to keep learning during this challenging time.”

  • Elementary School Students Need 4 Project Kits for STEM Learning

    Funded Dec 7, 2020

Thank you for your donation of the four STEM project kits. My fourth-grade students love the kits so much. They designed their projects on paper, built their projects, and presented their projects in class. When they designed their projects, they watched YouTube videos and researched online information. They built their projects with different movement sets, such as hammer, ramp, and pusher. Some students video recorded their learning experience and presented their videos in class. Also, they shared their learning videos with their parents, and their parents appreciate their efforts. STEM education is critical to students. It is an essential skill that they would use in colleges and careers. Thank you for your support to keep my students learning during this challenging time.”

  • Elementary School Students Need 4 LEGO Robots for Distance Learning

    Funded Dec 7, 2020

After we are in the COVID-19 Pandemic, many students are brave and decide to come to school for their learning. My fourth-grade students love robots and coding. Due to the six feet distance requirement, students work individually. Each student has their own LEGO robot set and a laptop/iPad. They follow the online instructions to build robots. Then they use coding blocks to program their robots. Many students complete challenging tasks, and they show their robot pictures with their families. It is their first time building LEGO robots and programming the robots. They enjoy the learning experience. Thank you for supporting my students to continue their learning.”

They use the headset to explore different countries on the discovery channel. They use the headset to visit the community on Google Map virtually. They also use the headset to play online sports games. They love to move their hands and legs. Thank you for your support to keep my students learning during this challenging time.”

  • Elementary School Students Need 2 LEGO Robots for Distance Learning

    Funded Oct 28, 2020

Thank you for your donation. My 4th-grade class had some LEGO kits to build their robots and program the robots to complete different tasks. They were very excited when they received the LEGO kits. They read the online instructions when they paid full attention to assemble their robots. They took one week to complete the assembling of their robots. Then they took two weeks to learn and program their robots. Some students told me that it was the most exciting and fun classwork they had done in school.”

Thank you for your donation. My students were pleased when they received their big and soft headphones. As the COVID-19 infection rate goes up, many students choose for fully remote learning. The headphones are very helpful for the students. Now they can use the headphones at home to read Myon online books, complete iReady video lessons, and listen to teachers' instructions in Google Classroom. Many parents send me thank-you emails. My students are African American children and Hispanic children. They came from low-income families. This project will be awesome for my students. Each month, a group of 3 elementary school students will use the Mindstorm education EV3 core set to build different robot models and develop their programming skills. Eventually, 30 students will use the Mindstore robot set in the whole school year. (3 students x 10 months = 30 students.) My students are excited to learn robots and programming. They need hand-on learning experiences to develop their logic thinking skills and problem-solving skills. Please help my students. Thank you.
