Special needs students deserve the same access to curriculum that their non disabled peers have. My students are very smart and can learn with repetition and differentiated materials. It is amazing how well my students can operate and maneuver technology. Because of their varying disabilities, my students access 70% of their curriculum using hands-on approaches. This can be anything from board games to computer programs. This year, I have 9 students and 1 iPad. Having 4 more iPads would open a whole new world for my students. This would allow my students to have access to fantastic Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Social Skills, and various other Apps that would enhance learning. When my students are using technology while learning, they feel successful and are unstoppable.
