These incredible students unfortunately, are paired with less than adequate equipment. We are currently working with 7-15 year old cameras, many of which are essentially non-operational. All result in blurry images and make photographing sporting events and other action packed happenings practically impossible. This deficit of quality equipment does not only effect this year's publication, but all future publications. Your donation will allow us to document the unique memories at GHS for years to come, and help train the next generation of journalists, graphic designers, and photographers. Our school's, and yearbook's budget is tight, and every expenditure directly effects the cost of the yearbook to students. The cost is already a luxury to a great deal of students and families with many of my students working jobs to help. So the cost of these two cameras would directly effect the ability of many students to obtain yearbooks for years to come. For that reason my class is reaching out for help. We are asking for funding for two DSLR cameras with lens kits, which would allow my students access to quality images, and make our yearbook into the unique, inclusive, quality publication it can be. It will allow my students the opportunity to learn the basics of camera manipulation and let us capture the memories of the students, sports, clubs, and activities that make GHS such an incredible school.
