We need a way for my students to get out their sillies and energy. Most of them have sensory issues and the physical activities will help them with self regulation. Setting up an obstacle course is the perfect way to let out energy and help them with self regulation. The scooter boards help build muscles and with crossing the midline. The tunnels help with conquering fears of object permanence. The trampoline can be used all day in and out to help get the sillies out, while learning to count or sing a song. Living in Florida, we are subjected to heat, rain, bugs, and a host of other issues that keep the little guys in the classroom. Being able to offer a wide variety of ways to express their physical energy is important to overall growth and development.
