  • Flexible Seating for Bouncy Kids

    Funded Jul 20, 2019

First, I would liked to thank you so much for your donations. I am forever grateful for your contribution to fund my class project "Bouncy Kids". My students use the bouncy balls all the time, as well as the bean bag and wiggly chairs. I feel the kids are able to concentrate and stay focused more effectively.

The students were thrilled to see the new fun additions to the classroom. When they found out the bouncy balls, etc., were for their use, their reaction were priceless.

My goal is to keep the progressive and excelerating additions to the classroom evolving into a binding learning classroom. All my students currently have access to an iPads which is extremely convenient for them to be mobile and active around the room. It gives them the Liberty to choose where they want to sit down around the room. As a result, my students are excited to come to the classroom and have a choice to where they would like to sit.

Thank you again for your contribution. Everyday, my students and I are reminded of your gracious contribution and sincerely appreciate it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cervantes

Flexible seating would benefit my students learning for the better because it would cause them to be more attentive in class due to that they are in a comfortable environment. This would appeal to my kinesthetic learners and to all children in general who have to be constantly moving to stay concentrated. For example, I have 3 students who have diagnosed ADHD and have a history of constantly getting in trouble for a compulsion to stay active that they can’t control. Flexible seating would allow these students and all students to get as much activity as possible, while still learning. Furthermore, seats such as bean bags, wobble chairs, balance balls, etc. would be a simple, but productive way to get my students constantly engaged.
