Thank you so much for your generous donation! These students can not afford their own paint supplies. They were very grateful and excited when they got a set of acrylic paints. The students are able to create better artwork for their AP drawing and college portfolios. Thank you for caring about our students future. We appreciate the support for Arts Education.”

  • Art Supplies for AP Studio Art Students

    Funded Feb 25, 2014

Thank you so much for the donations. Students have used the new paint palettes and paper for an art project that will be exhibited at the Craft and Folk Art Museum. In addition, the AP Studio art students are using these materials for their AP portfolio. The students are able to paint better with these quality materials. These materials made the projects easier for them to create. Before students were using paper plates to put their paint on. Now they have more room to mix their paint and separate the colors on their palettes. I appreciate the support for their arts education.”

I am teaching at a new high school that has a very low budget for Art supplies. In addition, this is the first year they are teaching Art in five years due to budget cuts. So many of the supplies have been depleted or are too old to use. A majority of the students are from low income neighborhoods and can not afford art materials. There is a large immigrant community at Canoga Park High School.
