  • Art Supplies Needed

    Funded Feb 26, 2020

Your donation made a huge difference with my students artwork. I work in a low income neighborhood where students can not afford art supplies. My school does not provide enough funding for art supplies. I am the first teacher in 5 years to be in the classroom. So there is not many art supplies left. They were working on a landscape painting with all the paints that were purchased. The students appreciate having these art supplies.

We really appreciate your generous donation. Thank you for making a difference in my students lives!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yoo

  • Art Supplies Needed for Low-income Students

    Funded Jan 23, 2020

My students are creating a surrealism landscape painting in my Drawing class. The students are learning painting techniques such as gradients, blending, and how to paint a mountain, tree, and water. This is the first time many of my students have ever used paint since Kindergarten. Students are struggling yet having fun using this new medium. Students are learning how to let go of control just by using paint. They are creating creative landscape paintings inspired by the Surrealism art history movement. Thank you for supporting my students creativity and expression.”

  • Drawing Materials Needed!

    Funded Aug 12, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations and continuing to support my Art classes! The students used the art supplies for their Day of the Dead artwork. The students picked a person that they knew or didn't know who passed away. They drew 5 symbols and patterns to represent the spirit of the person in their artworks. The paper, pencils, and erasers were used for this project and others.

The students and I appreciate all of your donations. The school does not provide that much funds for the art program. So your donations make a huge difference, especially with such large class sizes. Thank you again for supporting Arts Education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yoo

  • AP Studio Art Supplies

    Funded Dec 22, 2015

Thank you so much for your donations! My AP students will be creating better artworks with the new art supplies. The students need to create 24 artworks within the school year. So the supplies will support them with their portfolio not only for the AP test but also for college. Our school lacks the funds to pay for all of the art supplies. Students go through a lot of Art mediums such as watercolor, pastels, color pencils, scratchboard, and much more. The quality of the Art materials is necessary for their artworks to look better. So we appreciate your donation! Thank you for giving back to Arts Education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Yoo

Thank you so much for your donation. My AP Art students live in a low income neighborhood and can not afford Art materials. In addition, our school has a lower budget for Art materials and can not provide as many Art materials. They need to create 24 artworks the whole school year for the AP class. So your donation makes a big difference in being able to create their artworks to submit for College credit and for their Art portfolio. Your donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you for supporting Arts Education.”

I am teaching at a new high school that has a very low budget for Art supplies. In addition, this is the first year they are teaching Art in five years due to budget cuts. So many of the supplies have been depleted or are too old to use. A majority of the students are from low income neighborhoods and can not afford art materials. There is a large immigrant community at Canoga Park High School.
