  • 3rd grade Valentine Gifts

    Funded Feb 6, 2022

I would like to thank you for being a part of our village in helping my class reach our goal with the 3rd grade Valentine Gifts. The new resources were used for incentive for the students to accomplish their educational goals as well as great gifts for valentine day. I remember a specific time when the class was evolved in answering specific questions to get the opportunity to receive a special Valentine gift. They were very grateful and motivated to receive the correct answer along with the wonderful gift . Thanks again.”

  • 3rd grade Snacks

    Funded Jan 12, 2022

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I want you to know because of your generous donation to our project 3rd grade snacks my students can now really focus on their assignments instead of their growling stomach. Before I got ready to start the lesson I paused for a moment pulled out the boxes and opened them in front of the students. Their eyes open wide with great anticipation to see what was in these boxes! When they saw the snacks they started to shout!! I assured them that they will receive snacks as they do their assignments to take care of the hunger pains that they were experiencing. Once again many thanks to you for your kindness.”

  • Wholesome Third Graders!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for your support in giving to our project Wholesome Third Graders! I truly believe that if a child is happy and healthy that child will go the extra mile to succeed in their work. My students are using the new materials to stay healthy during this time of the pandemic where they have to social distance themselves. Champion Sports Skip Ball Ankle Toy for Kids, Durable Hopper / Swing ball Set, and the Jump Rope Sets allows them to still exercise with their peers while social distancing. They were so excited when they saw the materials knowing that they would get a chance to have fun while they stay healthy and happy. Thanks for all that you do to help!”

  • Persevering Through Virtual Learning!

    Funded Nov 12, 2020

This has been a very challenging but yet rewarding school year so far. Through my project Persevering Through Virtual Learning it has allowed my students to be able to start and complete some challenging assignments. One project in particular that we were doing was dealing with the Author's Purpose in our daily reading passage. The various educational task cards that we received from our project allowed the students to practice with information in a smaller text, colorful pictures, and quick feedback on the questions that they answered. They were very excited to complete their assignments in this manner. The impact that this had on their learning was phenomenal. They were eager to do the assignments, motivated, and welcomed it daily. The materials from the project Author's Purpose Task Cards, 3rd grade Spiral Review, Grammar Reading, Reading Skill (Main Idea, Inference, Cause and Effect), Math Practice and Power Point Lesson on Grammar/ Language to name some of them were powerful tools used in this time of pandemic. This gave the students some sense of normalcy through being able to learn and enjoy learning with their classmates. Once again our students will forever remember this time of learning through this pandemic but they will remember it with a grateful heart thanks for your love and care:)”

  • Stomping Out Dyslexia--Dyslexia Dream Team

    Funded Dec 28, 2018

My students are really appreciative of all the things that was given in order for them to successfully accomplish their goals. In small groups the chart tablets were very helpful in seeing directions, examples of work done, and modeling of the assignment. The containers helped us keep the supplies organized and books available for reading once assignments were done. Technology was also used for one of our reading programs, this helped in learning by giving students multiple ways of seeing the lesson presented and they could review lessons if needed at a later day.

The students were most excited about the books that were pertaining to their disability! Knowing that famous people that they knew also have dyslexia was mind blowing to them and gave them hope to strive for excellence. So in receiving help from strangers that cared about the education of them, that really did make a great impact on their social and emotional being!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Basile

As a 3rd grade teacher, I would like my students to have the same resources in all their subjects. Often time students from different backgrounds can feel isolated. In this project, I have included several resources to help students, parents, and teachers understand the importance of well-needed resources. The classroom supplies will help relieve the financial burden of buying duplicate supplies over multiple class subjects.
