Our third grade students have just become the first group in our school to have one to one access to Chromebooks. Technology is no longer a bonus, but a necessity for our students. We spend a large portion of our day utilizing technology in any way possible; from various programs to Google Classroom and Google Casting. These activities are integrated into math, language arts, science, social studies, writing, and the fine arts. This year's group of students will also be the first to take their beginning of grade reading test online, so the more practice they can get now, the better! With this wonderful learning opportunity comes lots of Chromebook responsibility. Our Chromebooks will remain in our classroom to ensure that they are readily available for student use. My students need this mobile charging and storage cart to keep their Chromebooks stored, charged, and locked at the end of each day. My students will use these Chromebooks to be actively engaged in their own learning and develop a passion for inquiry-based learning through research. With easy access to their Chromebooks students will be able to be communicate and collaborate with their teachers and peers within their classroom, school, county, and state, as well as, globally through our global read aloud activities using various online programs.
