  • Printer, Printer. My Students Need Printers

    You may never fully understand how much you are appreciated. I want to give you a snap shot of the impact that you are making in the lives of my students. The printers you donated will have long lasting effects.

    On day one, these printers have been used by students to print out written assignments. As the school year goes on, students will have an opportunity to write about many things. A part of the writing process is editing and revising. Students will have an opportunity to print their papers and mark them up for revision. This is helpful because students may not have access to computers during this process. There's something about having a physical piece of paper in hand.

Although we allow students to turn in some assignments online, the need for printing still exists. With this printer, students still create products like newsletters, research diagrams, published short stories, brochures, etc. that need to be printed. Often times it can be a challenging/costly for a student to turn in a hard copy that looks as good as it's digital counterpart. All of our students have access to Microsoft Office Software. They are able to access Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc. Having a printer that is able to publish a quality finished product will provide our students with increased motivation to do their best work.
