    My students loved being able to select different snacks that they wanted for their classroom! Once I posted the project for our Reading time "Book Nook" with the request that you all help me give my students tasty snacks to have while they read and the ziplock bags to keep their snacks in students were excited and since have enjoyed our reading time more than before!

    Students were excited to enjoy the treats as they read! This boosted their reading stamina and encouraged them to continue to try and read different books!

    California can be cool in the morning, but by the afternoon it can easily get to uncomfortable temperatures.

    Cozy Homeplace was all about helping me give my students a welcoming, inviting, and exciting learning environment as they return to the classroom in the 2021-2022 school year post pandemic. These materials will allow me to cultivate a more culturally responsive temporal environment!

    The students are enjoying being able to use the donations/supplies to be more comfotable in my class and it even helps support them in learning because they feel more comfortable.

The reading intervention class that I teach is for students that have an SRI lexile level that ranges from BR to 400. Some of my students are newcomers that speak Spanish or Arabic. Other students are native English speakers. The SRI does not give me much data; especially for my students that score BR. All of my reading intervention students are in my class because they struggle being able to navigate the English language and show major growth (at least two hundred point or more by the end of a school year) on the SRI district assessment. As a result my site decided to implement the use of LLI and the Fountas and Pinnell assessments to see and celebrate students reading and comprehension growth.
