AIG students are a distinct group of individuals who give evidence of high achievement capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, or artistic areas, and who need services or activities provided in an innovative way in order to develop their full potential. With that being said, they often require a unique approach to teaching and learning. They thrive on critical thinking challenges and problem solving and as their AIG specialist, it is my job and desire to provide opportunities that meet their needs, despite the lack of resources we often have made available to us. Students will be up for this challenge! They will be collaborating, problem solving, communicating, and using critical thinking and problem solving skills to break into boxes by solving puzzles, riddles, and other brain teasers. What better way to get students excited about learning! Students will be presented with resettable locks, boxes, and items that can be used to present learning objectives in a mind boggling, dynamic, and complex way. Students must "Break In" to boxes by using clues to unlock innovative learning opportunities that will build their communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills as well as their creativeness.
