My students are amazing! I teach honors biology at Maryvale High School located in the Phoenix Union High School District. While my school may be classified as a Title One School, my students are bright, humorous, and inquisitive teenagers who are looking to get the most out of their high school education. My goal is equip my students with the requisite knowledge they need to be successful in an Advanced Placement science course here on campus and in college. In order to accomplish this goal, I utilize many hands-on learning opportunities and laboratory experiences. Simply put, my students do science on a weekly basis versus learning from a lecture or a text book. These experiences cost money, which is why I have projects posted on this site. I hope that you choose one of our projects and know that if you do, your donation will directly impact my students and help them prepare for their future.
