I started a new job as the life skills coordinator for Johnston High School. I am responsible for teaching special needs students and young adults how to transition into the world after graduation. Some of my students are intellectually severe-profound and have health issues. I want to create an environment that is welcoming and can help them navigate how to maintain a household and attend to daily chores. Some students are currently in group homes and don't have much of their own stuff. The items purchased would be used in my room to make it flow more like a living environment than a standard classroom.
