We are in need of a Toshiba Smart TV, Sony DVD player, and TV stand so that we can keep up with the technology that is advancing every year. We use the TV to help facilitate whole group lessons, and the one that we currently have is outdated and not working properly. We want to stream videos that correlate to our Common Core Lessons in every subject. We also want to use the Smart TV to stream videos such as Go Noodle and Just Dance Kids, to get the kids moving and their brains flowing! A Smart TV will help to integrate technology into our classroom. Imagine introducing a topic or lesson by opening with a video, picture, or song that is all controlled wirelessly through an iPad and projected to the television that the class has gathered around. Children learn in so many ways! Offering my students technology, will allow for multimodal means of taking in information. Providing technology as an option for learning, will give my students an opportunity to be a 21st Century learner!
