  • Let's Express Our Feelings!

    Funded Mar 1, 2019

Thank you so much for the journals! I cannot tell you how much they have helped my kindergartners! Thanks to your generous donations, my students have been able to come in each morning and show me through their journals what they are feeling before starting the school day. These journals are a way for my students to appropriately express their emotions, and it gives them a way for them to tell me what their feeling. Sometimes these journals are the only way for me to know what is going on in my students' lives outside of school!

Thank you again for your continued support of my classroom! It means so much to us to have these journals!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ayub

  • Learning Through STEM

    Funded Dec 8, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations which helped to bring my STEM center project to life! My students thoroughly enjoy each moment spent exploring the vast amount of centers now available to them, and I have love every moment seeing them get to work, communicate, collaborate, and problem solve because of them as well as work on their critical thinking skills. The word why brings them such excitement during Stem time on Fridays now! They love exploring each center and finding their own ways to be innovative. I cannot express how much it meant to me to share them with my kiddos! Thank you so much!”

  • Let Them Be Little...and Play

    Funded Oct 8, 2018

Today I got to see my students do something I've wanted to see for so long; play. Today they used their imagination, worked together to create some amazing forts and houses, played dolls in the dollhouse and pretended to be mommies and daddies while feeding and changing and playing with baby dolls. They developed language and vocabulary skills while playing with their new costumes and even combined several of the toys to really build on their imagination! It was an amazing sight, and they had no idea how much they were learning! These toys were met with sheer excitement and thrill as they eagerly opened each package and started playing. Thank you for allowing my students to be kids today and every day from here on out and providing them with a plethora of opportunities that never would have been available to them otherwise.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ayub

5 and 6 years olds are being demanded to act like 9 and 10 year olds more and more often in school these days. My dream for my kids is not only that they grow up to be smart and able to do the academics, but that they grow up to be kind, compassionate, caring individuals leading successful lives in every aspect. They can't do that if they don't have the basic skills of sharing, empathy, cooperation, teamwork, etc.... My dream for these magical items is that I can finally give my students more than just the academics, and for my kindergarten English Language Learners, these "toys" will provide them the rich and meaningful language opportunities as well as the opportunities they need to learn those critical social skills in a way that they know best...through play. This is a dream project both for myself and my students, who on a daily basis are my entire world. Please help us bring these items to our classroom so they can be successful in every area.
