I am creating a center that is able to incorporate all levels in my classroom. Each student has their own individual picture schedule, with three pictures, that changes every day. Each individual picture on their schedule will match a picture on a task box. The student will locate the box that matches their schedule, complete the task, and return the box to the shelf. Once the student completes that task box they will move the picture on their schedule to the "all done" box. The tasks within the boxes are laminated to help with the longevity of the materials. Most tasks use Velcro to help with fine motor skills and also organization of the materials.
The tasks within this center are created to incorporate all learning levels. They focus on ELA, math and science. I am also working on having my students learn how to follow a picture schedule and increase their independence with this skill. This will help in other areas, such as, brushing their teeth, making a sandwich, work schedules, etc.
