  • Sumi-e for Seventh Grade Art Students

    I would like to thank you for the funding for the Sumi-e For Seventh Graders activity. I have wanted to give this opportunity to my classes for many years. The seventh grade social studies curriculum includes Asian cultures and the correlation of art with academic classes will enhance both disciplines. I look forward to the work and the opportunity for this new activity--which is possible with the support of Donors like you.

  • Self portraits for eighth graders (The Center of the Known Universe)

    Thank you for the funding of the project that will allow my eighth grade classes to create self portraits. I welcome the opportunity to challenge them to not only be observant, but also introspective as they look at themselves as individuals. The inclusion of art in our curriculum is an asset.
