  • Running from the DRIer

    Funded Nov 22, 2019

Thank you for your generosity. Even though we had a short year because of Covid-19, I was able to use the supplies this year and with all of the guidelines we have to adhere to I was able to give each student their own set of supplies.

When they are not useable I am able to give another set of supplies and we can continue to stay safe with distancing and sanitation. It's like a clock I don't have to look for supplies I can keep teaching and the students know to walk and get what they need from the supply corner.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Whitener

  • Don't Turn off the Colors or Let Me Dry Out!

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

I want to thank you so much for your generosity. My students and I are able to work with wondering if everyone has their needed supplies.

When opening the box so they can see what was inside, the students were like Ms. Whitener that is a lot of markers. I let them know that these materials were giving to us so we can have the things we need to be A+ students this school year. We have a different captain every week to make sure the markers will not dry out.

We are able to work on Fundations in the morning while each student has their own dry erase marker that they are responsible for. My hope is that this donation will carry us until 3rd quarter or the end of the year.

Having these materials make life as a teacher a lot easier.”

  • Knowledge and Passion Equals POWER

    Funded Oct 14, 2019

Thank you so much! With these two iPads I am now able to rotate a whole group into one center. The software that is purchase by the school allows them to work on Lexia at ELA time and STMath at math time. My students are ready when their group is called to work. this helps them to become independent. They love saying, "I logged in all by myself or is it time to get our login cards". Makes them take pride in themselves.

Right after the morning breakfast I allow them to choose an activity and it seems that everyone goes right for the tablets. I love when their brains get to work early in the morning and their passion for learn is always on.”

    Funded Sep 17, 2019

Thank you again and again and AGAIN. Just in this short period of time we have been able to give our scholars on time homework packets. We have also been able to produce grade level classroom worksheet that help us do our job better. The Writing Center is now running smoothly.

This donation was not just for one classroom but for many. I get thanked all the time for thinking of a way we all in our school building can get a break from our old copier machine that was breaking down when we needed it most. On Mondays my scholars asks me if homework is printed and ready to go in there backpacks.

I know that this will continue to be a big help in our school all thanks to you guys. Please do not stop the help that you give it is very much needed and appreciated.”

  • Supercharging BRAINS Through TECHNOLOGY

    Funded Jul 5, 2019

I want to thank you for thinking of my scholars. It has been the most joyous time watching my babies willing to learn something new. When I first introduced technology to them during our second week of instruction I must say I never heard so much excitement in little people. One scholar told me that she never gets to play with her moms phone and she loves me for letting her play with the tablets in the classroom. I just melted.

Because you where so gracious and donated to our classroom we now have adventurous 4 year old wanting to learn everyday of something new and love that they can do these things on there own. The whispering during morning meeting from the students who want to go to the technology center first is so wonderful. I also had fun challenging myself to teach little scholars on how to care and use these devices. I can say the technology center is the most calming center of all. They are more focused and tuned in to what is next to come and they even try to help each other when they are having a hard navigating the tables.

My scholars are on there way to achieving great things including being prepared for this new TECH world. I must keep them charged and ready to go because at the EOY (end of the Year) bench mark I know my scholars will meet it.”

  • A Constant Revolving Door

    Funded Mar 12, 2019

I want to thank you so much for your help in making their smiles brighter. With this tablet my students are able to focus on school programs which are called Lexia and ST Math. My prayer is that I am able to have a rotation in my class everyday which will allow all of my students to access the software programs for a fifteen minute morning block.

These programs cover a lot of which I have already taught so it pleases me to know that they will have continuance practice in every area. This has also allowed me to download other programs that will help them succeed. Technology is the new way of learning and this helps me make sure that I am preparing my students for their futures.

I have some students who arrive for breakfast and the first thing they ask for is the tablet once they finish their food. Please never stop doing what you are doing because this helps out teachers like me who wants their students to achieve their goal achieve them and more.

Because of you guys I find myself donating helping out other teachers as well.”

  • Makers Gonna Make......

    Funded Sep 8, 2018

I want to thank you for making my scholars head into the right direction of loving to come to school. With your help I was able to let my scholars express themselves through art. It also helped them understand what they liked about themselves and their classmates. Younger scholars really can talk about something they did on their own. As the teacher I loved every minute of it. Slime making was a two part lesson. We used Science and Math to teach this skill. Using the measuring cups identifying numbers and becoming little scientist mixing what they thought was real toxic chemicals was priceless.

Please do not stop what you are doing, because of you we can work together and change lives.”

I must keep my scholars minds fresh and open. I plan to do that through art and the latest technology. This will give them the opportunity to express themselves, build their imagination and self-esteem. It will let them know that different is okay and gives them the courage to take risks. I find it that adding a little hands on in any assignment makes them begin to think differently. I see a light bulb go off in my scholars when I begin to ask about their artwork or their experience. I enjoy bringing different opportunities to the classroom. Being flexible and engaging makes being a teacher so wonderful and I would not change it for the world.
