Writing and Art Supplies Need a Home

Thank you greatly for supporting my class project. The students were super excited when we received our package. They wanted me to build the storage organizer right away. It took us awhile to get our art and writing center together, as the students decided what should go in each container. Once the center was up and running, it has been used daily.

You should hear the joy that exuberates from the art table as students are busily working on their creations. The students love the art and writing center. Each day they ask me to open the center. Sometimes there are two tables with students eagerly working on their projects. It's a joy to see their creativity come to fruition. From pieces of construction paper and tape being turned in to a trick or treat bag or a butterfly carrier. Recycled materials becoming bracelets, rocket ships, and so much more.

As a teacher the storage organizer has helped me tremendously as the students are able to manage the art and writing center on their own. It allows students the accessibility to explore with more materials. The storage organizer as an art and writing center has also foster a sense of community. Students are building relationships and interacting with each other over a shared interest. The center also fosters kindness as students make cards and gifts for each other. One touching moment was when students made get well cards for a student who has been absent for a long period of time. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings as the students grow in creativity and continue to explore with the different mediums.”
