What is better than learning through play? At the PreK level, students are aged between 3-5 years old, so what's better than learning while playing? Playing is an important part of a child's early development. Playing helps young children's brains to develop and for their language and communication skills to mature. They teach young children about communication, develop their motor skills and help with problem-solving. Activities such as the Alphabet Mystery Box will allow for students to match their letters, but it also helps reinforce letter sounds, all while they are working hands on. Same goes for the math manipulatives, the Linking Counting Monkeys, Peg Number Boards, Sequencing Number Puzzles, Magnetic Shape Sorting, Number Bots, and even the Number Bingo game will all help students learn to count using one-to-one correspondence all while using fine motor skills to manipulate all the items. At this age, children are like sponges and soak up every bit of information you give them, and because they are so young and still learning motor skills, play is essential in teaching.
