The world is a big place with lots of different adventures around every corner. However, not everyone has the opportunity to travel the world to see its beauty or to absorb the history. This is why adding to my classroom library will help my students to "escape" and dive into a world that they may not otherwise see whether it's because the land is a far away land or because the story took place in history. By having a wide variety of reading material at an arm's length of my students, will help strengthen their vocabulary as well as strengthen their reading skills and imaginations, which in turn will allow my students to better grasp history that is being taught or have a better understanding of every day reading.
